The economic condition of this union is fairly good. The livelihood of 85 percent of the people here is dependent on agriculture. A large quantity of food grains are produced on the sandy soil of Bay of Bengal. The main sources include rice, wheat and maize. In this area, maize cultivation is new, but due to its bumper yield, corn is one of the most important crops in this area. Other occupations apart from agricultural work include job and business. The number of people living below the poverty line is less than the other areas in the Aladipur union.
